Forward-looking leaders know delegating is the art of leveraging one of the best resources available: their people. Delegation (not dumping) develops team members and facilitates the achievement of specific organisational outcomes. An involved leader is able to identify which team members are capable of which tasks, and determine the amount of supervision necessary to keep them focused and accountable.

  • Delegation is the process of sharing responsibility to achieve optimum results. Once a plan has been outlined and leaders have determined the ultimate objectives, they collaborate with their team on the plan of action.

     

    This course enables managers to demonstrate the steps of the delegation process, which entails developing team members to accept additional responsibilities without losing sight of their central leadership responsibility — the bottom line!
