About the webinar

Loss adjusting is hard work on a good day. Add tight deadlines, distressed clients, and the steady drip of difficult conversations, and the way we communicate (with others and with ourselves) starts to matter more than ever.

This practical session looks at the small shifts in language and daily habits that protect our wellbeing and lift the people around us. We'll cover how to disagree without damaging the relationship, and why the words we choose at work can either steady someone or wear them down.

You’ll walk away ready to:

  • Disagree agreeably, even when the stakes are high and emotions are running hot

  • Spot the early signs of stress and burnout, and know what to do when they show up

  • Understand the real impact of miscommunication, and how small wording choices change outcomes

  • Build daily habits that keep your emotions in check when the pressure builds

Because the way we treat each other at work is never just about work.

The Trusted Partner Program:
Communication and Influence for Claims Professionals

Loss adjusting is as much a human profession as a technical one. The adjusters who last are the ones who can hold difficult conversations with composure, influence stakeholders without positional authority, and stay effective through a heavy caseload and a relentless catastrophe season.

This 1-day program is designed specifically for insurance and claims professionals at every stage of their career. It draws on Dale Carnegie's foundational work in human relations, applied directly to the conversations adjusters navigate every day. Case studies and exercises come from real claims work, not generic business scenarios. You'll leave with techniques you can use on the next claim on your desk, and the habits that separate trusted professionals from technical processors.

What you'll take away

  • Lead difficult conversations with confidence and control

  • Build genuine rapport quickly in emotionally charged situations

  • Win cooperation through influence and credibility, not pressure or escalation

  • Strengthen the relationships and reputation that bring complex, high-value work

  • Develop the mental habits that protect performance from worry, stress and fatigue
